ABOUT
A Bit of Background
The foundation was set up to provide all that is required in order to facilitate the advancement of education of homeless veterans with a specified aim of assisting them to gain the qualifications and licence(s) that will allow them to seek employment. This will be achieved with the assistance of Vanquish® Training Academy who will grant free spaces on scheduled courses.
Vanquish® Training Academy run security related courses from which candidates gain accredited qualifications that enable them to apply for the necessary SIA licence that required to work in the security industry.
For the public benefit, we will endeavour to raise funds to cover the cost of accommodation, clothing, learning materials and all other items that are required to enable someone to undergo this form of training. Once qualified and licensed, we will seek free, professional advice in relation to CV writing and other skills that will assist the beneficiaries gain employment. We will also liaise with employers in the security industry in an effort to have them agree to consider our beneficiaries.
We aim to find potential beneficiaries primarily by contacting other charities who operate in a similar field.

About Our Founder
Michael Chandler
The Vanquish Foundation was founded by Michael Chandler, a British security and counter-intelligence specialist and Chief Operating Officer of The Vanquish Group.
The security industry has always recruited heavily from the armed forces. Working in it, Michael saw both sides of that. Some former service personnel transitioned into good careers. Others left with the same skills and discipline but ended up on the streets, often needing nothing more than a qualification and a licence they could not afford.
The Foundation exists to close that gap. It funds the training, the qualifications and the practical costs of accommodation, clothing and learning materials that stand between a homeless veteran and paid work. Training is delivered through Vanquish Training Academy, which grants free places on scheduled courses, and support continues after qualification with help finding employment.
Michael has written three books on protective security and surveillance, and wrote the course that Vanquish Training Academy was built around. The Foundation puts that same training within reach of people who served.
